Originally known as Boos & Booze, the Downtown Ghost Tour is the tour that launched Pretty Gritty Tours into one of Washington's premier history tour companies. Led by knowledgeable local guides, this outdoor walking experience explores Tacoma's historic downtown while uncovering the real events that gave rise to its ghost stories.
Along the route you'll visit some of Tacoma's oldest buildings, hear stories of infamous murders, forgotten burial grounds, curses, brothels, and unsolved mysteries, and learn why so many believe downtown remains one of Washington's most haunted neighborhoods. The tour concludes near a local brewery, making it easy to continue the evening with fellow ghost hunters.

Fest Tip: Bring a camera and keep it handy throughout the tour. Even if you don't capture a ghost, Tacoma's historic architecture is especially atmospheric after dark—and you never know what might appear in the background of a photo.
