BACKYARD MOVIE NIGHT: THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT

AUGUST 7

PASADENA, CA

SugarMynt Gallery's Backyard Movie Nights have become a favorite tradition among Southern California horror fans. Each screening combines a curated horror film with access to the gallery's current exhibit, allowing guests to browse artwork before settling into the backyard for an intimate outdoor movie experience.

For this special screening, the spotlight falls on The Blair Witch Project (1999)—the groundbreaking found-footage horror film that forever changed independent horror and inspired countless filmmakers. Watching the film beneath the night sky adds an extra layer of tension that's difficult to recreate anywhere else. Guests are encouraged to bring their own food, beverages (including alcohol), blankets, and low-backed chairs for a relaxed evening under the stars.

Plan Your Visit:

Time: 8:00PM - 10:00PM

Admission: $18 general admission, includes entry into SugarMynt Gallery exhibit prior to the movie

Fest Tip: Bring a cozy blanket even if it's warm during the day. Once the movie starts and the lights go down, the atmosphere is all part of the experience and you'll be glad you're comfortable while the woods of Burkittsville come to life.
